The irony wasn't lost on me Leo! I think of my iPhone slightly differently – I appreciate the convenience of having cut-down versions of my business apps to have there, but it's pants for photos and video – I have a Samsung i8910HD in my other pocket for that!

Thanks Susan, I'll be more careful next time – perhaps just stick to working on the innards of PCs, nothing smaller!

What a horrendous technological nightmare. You really are the go to guy and I think it is good that you can't do everything. but now I guess you can, since you survived this experience. Glad your phone is back and your ego is still intact. Well done.

I think that it is quite ironic that the piece of equipment that your blog post is centered around could learn a lesson from your post itself. The old adage that “anything that can do more than one thing can't be relied on to do any of them very well” comes to mind when I think of the electronic megataskers such as the iPhone.
